Nutritional Therapy

The food we eat has a profound effect on our health

Eating the right diet for you can help you achieve “wellness” – optimal health AND a positive emotional outlook.

Sound almost too good to be true? We all know that eating right is even more important when our bodies are under stress – from overwork, modern technology and environmental pollution. All too often, though, this is the time we turn to junk food, caffeine, alcohol and/or sugar to get us through the day.

Even the smallest of changes can make great improvements to your health

What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional therapy combines science – biochemistry and nutrition – with natural medicine in order to return the patient to wellness.  It treats the body as a whole – curing the causes of problems, not just the symptoms as is too often the case in conventional medicine. Nutritional therapy can successfully treat acute and chronic ailments – including long-term stress. And even in cases of severe disease, a high level of wellness can be achieved.

Your Natural Health Care Programme

At Health on a Plate, my approach to nutrition is much more than eating your 5 portions of fruit and veg a day. After your consultation I will develop an effective Natural Health Care Programme tailored to your emotional, spiritual, mental and physical needs. I aim to:

  • Identify and treat the root causes of your condition, not simply the symptoms.
  • Encourage optimum conditions for natural healing.
  • Teach you healthy lifestyle choices to prevent disease.
  • Empower you to take an active role in your own health.

Who can Nutritional Therapy help?

Nutritional therapy is safe and gentle for all ages, from the youngest baby to the most elderly or frail. It can treat people from all walks of life, and address many different complaints, be they short-term, acute or long-term degenerative conditions. It can help you uncover the various causes of ill health. Some examples of the conditions I have worked with include:

  • allergies
  • anxiety
  • arthritis (osteo and rheumatoid)
